Elf Mischief

We decided that Elfie has been causing a lot of trouble in the Burns house, so we had a little talk with him and asked him to take it easy on us. Elfie decided that we need to slow down.....you know relax a little. He was so sweet--he brought us a family movie and some popcorn for a movie night! 

Dad Mischief

So Lance decided sometime (without my input) that Sunday night at 6:45pm would be a good time to start a "family" activity.

Here is what the project looked like when it started....all cool, calm, and collected! 

Within five minutes of this project starting.....marshmallows melted....time to put the Rice Crispies in. Now most women out there know you don't make something that requires lots of mixing (especially small objects....lots of them) in a skillet. 

Unfortunately, sometimes you just can't speak up. You don't want to be the bearer of bad news or anything. I'm not sure if you notice.....he doesn't have a smile on his face anymore! 

I ended up offering a new pot to stir all of those fabulous Rice Crispies that were now ALL over the kitchen! Needless to say, all is well that ends well. We ended up with a fabulous Rice Crispy train! 

All nice and cleaned up!

Dad's Peace Offering

Most women love it when their husband brings home chocolates and flowers.....not me. My husband brings home my favorite fabric. For that, I love him forever!
